Francis 1 by Reed & Barton Sterling Silverware is one the most popular sterling silver patterns of all time. When Reed & Barton was in business, Francis 1 out sold all of Reed & Barton's other patterns combined.
Francis 1 was first produced in the year 1907. The pattern is a mult-motif pattern with each piece having a different variation of a cornucopia fruit design. There are 15 known variations. It was designed by Ernest Meyer a French silversmith. The pattern was discontinued in year 2015 and is no longer manufactured.
The pattern is extremely heavy in weight and is opulently ornate. It has as extensive line of serving and specialty pieces. Francis also has a substantial line of hollowware pieces produced like tea sets, goblets, bowls, candlesticks and more.
If you are looking to buy a sterling silverware pattern that will be timeless through out the ages then Francis 1 is a pattern to strongly consider.
